Add Questions to Activities
Activities can collect responses from participants using questions. These questions help you gather attendance, preferences, and other important information.
Types of Questions
There are two types of questions in Eventene:
- RSVP Questions – determine whether participants are attending
- Survey Questions – collect additional information such as preferences or feedback
Every activity includes an RSVP question. Survey questions are optional and can be added as needed.
Event-Level vs Activity-Level Questions
Questions can be added at both the program (event) level and the activity level.
- Program-level questions are shown to all participants in the program
- Activity-level questions are only shown to participants assigned to that activity
Use program-level questions for information that applies to everyone, such as:
- General registration details
- Contact information
- Global preferences
Use activity-level questions for information specific to a session or task, such as:
- Session-specific choices
- Workshop preferences
- Activity-specific feedback
Program-level questions are managed from the Edit Program panel under the Questions tab, while activity-level questions are managed within each activity.
RSVP Questions (Attendance)
RSVP questions control how attendance is handled for an activity.
- Ask if Attending – participants choose whether to attend
- Link Attendance – attendance follows the overall program
Each activity includes a built-in attendance question that cannot be removed, but you can control how it behaves.
You can also customize the wording of the question to match your program.
Survey Questions
Survey questions collect additional information from participants.
For example:
- Meal preferences
- Session choices
- Feedback or rankings
Survey questions can be shown based on attendance status, allowing you to ask different questions depending on whether someone is attending.
Add a Question to an Activity
- Open your program
- Go to the Activities tab
- Select an activity
- Open the Questions tab
- Click New Question
Then:
- Enter a name (internal use)
- Select a question type
- Enter the question text shown to participants
- Choose whether the question is required

Question Types
You can create different types of questions depending on the information you need.
- Multiple choice (single or multiple selection)
- Text or comment
- Number, date, or time
- Yes/No or True/False
Some question types include additional settings, such as ranking options or validation rules.
Tips for Using Questions
- Keep questions clear and concise
- Only require questions when necessary
- Use different questions for different activities
