How Registration Works
Registration in Eventene is a structured flow that guides participants through selecting attendance, answering questions, and completing any required steps.
Instead of a single form, registration is built using activities that define what participants see and how they interact with your program.
The Registration Flow
Participants typically move through the following steps:
- Attendance – choose whether to attend and select activities
- Questions – provide required information
- Payments (if applicable) – review and select required items
- Complete – confirm and finish registration
Each step is controlled by your activity setup and settings.
Activities Drive Registration
Activities determine what participants see during registration.
- Registration activities – collect responses and guide participants through the process
- Schedule activities – represent sessions or events participants can attend
- Lead activities – used for lead capture and related workflows
Participants only see activities that are assigned to their group.
Attendance Settings
Attendance settings control how participants interact with activities:
- Ask – participants choose whether to attend
- All Attending – participants are automatically included
Some activities may be linked to the overall program attendance.
Program-Level vs Activity-Level Questions
Questions can be added at two levels:
- Program-level – shown to all participants
- Activity-level – shown only to participants assigned to that activity
This allows you to collect both general and activity-specific information.
Registration Status
Participants may not complete registration in one step. Eventene tracks progress:
- Complete – all required steps are finished
- In Progress – participant has started but not finished
- Incomplete – required steps are missing
You can use this information to send reminders or follow up.
What Participants Experience
From a participant’s perspective, registration is a guided process:
- They see only relevant activities
- They are prompted to complete required steps
- They receive confirmation once finished
Your setup determines this experience.
Tips for Setting Up Registration
- Keep the number of steps simple and clear
- Use program-level questions for common information
- Use activity-level questions for specific needs
- Review the flow from a participant’s perspective
