Launching the Mobile App

Once the app is installed on your local device, you'll need to sign up or log in to the app to see your events. The app will first ask you to enter the email address that is associated with your event(s), as shown in the following screenshot. This email may be one that you used during registration or an email that is associated with an invite-only guest list. 

Once you provide it with an email, the app will check if your email is associated with any active or upcoming events. If not, it will ask you to try another email until a match is found. If your email is associated with one or more events, the app will then determine whether you have previously created an account in Eventene. If you already have an account, the app will invite you to log in. If you have not, the app will invite you to sign up for a free account.

Log-in

If the app detects you already have an account created, it will welcome you back and ask you to enter your password. If you do not remember it, you can click the "Reset password" to receive a link in email to reset it. 

But you can also click "Email me a log-in link", which requests for the app to send you an email with a log-in link. When you click on the link, the app will launch and automatically log you in without needing to enter a password. If your email is associated with more than one event, the email you receive will list all of your active and upcoming events. 

Sign-up

If the app determines that your email address is associated with at least one active or upcoming event but has not yet verified their email or finished setting up their profile, the app will ask you to enter your full name and set a password to finish setting up your account. When ready to proceed, press "Create Account". 

The last step to signing up for your account is to verify that you are the owner of the email address you entered. The app will send you a 6-digit code to your email, which will contain a 6-digit code that you will need to enter back in the Eventene app to complete the sign-up process. After that, you will be taken into the app, and asked to select the event you wish to open, if you have not yet previously selected one.

Log-in via a 3rd Party account

Besides entering the app with an email address, you can also log-in (or sign-up) using one of several 3rd-party systems, including Apple ID, Facebook, and Google. 

If you choose to use another system to authenticate you, it is important to understand that the email associated with your 3rd party account must match the email that you used to register for your event, or that the organizer used to include you on their invite list. Otherwise, you will see a blank event list when you enter the app, in which case you should log out and try again with a different email address, one that matches the one used in your upcoming event.

After you select one of the 3rd party systems, e.g. Apple, Facebook, or Google, you will be asked to identify yourself through their log-in process.
