Combine Groups

You can combine multiple groups into a single group when you need to merge participant lists. This is useful when consolidating data from different sources or cleaning up duplicate lists.

When to Combine Groups

Use the combine action when:

  • You have multiple groups that should be one
  • You imported data into separate groups and want to merge them
  • You are cleaning up duplicate or overlapping lists

Combine Groups

  1. Go to the Groups page
  2. Select two or more groups
  3. Click Combine
  4. Enter a name for the new group
  5. Confirm the action

A new group will be created containing the combined data.

What Happens When You Combine Groups

  • All people from the selected groups are included
  • All fields from each group are preserved
  • If duplicate fields exist, one value is retained

The original groups remain unchanged unless you choose to remove them afterward.

Important Notes

  • You can only combine groups with other groups
  • Subgroups are not merged directly across different main groups
  • To combine subgroups from different sources, combine their main groups first

Tips for Combining Groups

  • Review field names before combining to avoid duplicates
  • Export groups as a backup before merging
  • Clean up old groups after confirming the new combined group
