If you have data on two separate Sections that needs to be merged, use the Combine action to merge these Sections. Please note that Groups and Sections may not be combined together. A Group may only be combined with another Group and the same for Sections as well.
If you select two or more Sections, the "combine" action becomes active (simply press the check next to each Section you wish to combine). Now, if you press the button, a new dialog box will open. This dialog box will list the names of the two Sections along with their Places counts. At this point, you can specify the new Section Name After completing these steps, confirm the combination by pressing “Combine." The new combined Section will now appear in the list.
Combining Main Sections
When you combine multiple Main Sections, every Field between the combined Sections will be preserved in the new Main Section. Previously, only Fields that existed in all Sections would be preserved, but that restriction is now removed in v1.3 of Eventene. Please note that when two identical Fields are merged, they system will take the first value for the new Section.
Combining Subsections - Same Main Section
If you combine multiple Subsections that are all subsets of the same Main Section, the new subset will be created with all of the Rule Sets from the original Subsections.
Combining Subsections - Different Main Sections
Currently, combining Subsections from different Main Sections is not supported. If you need to combine Subsections from different Main Sections, you can first combine the respective Main Sections and use Rules to create a subset from the resulting new Main Section.
Combining Main Sections and Subsections
If you combine a mix of Main Sections and Subsections, Eventene will create a new Main Section from the original Main Sections. However, it will not combine the Subsections in the new Main Section.
