If you have data on two separate Groups that needs to be merged, use the Combine action to merge these Groups. Please note that Groups and Sections may not be combined together. A Group may only be combined with another Group and the same for Sections as well.

Combining Groups

If you select two or more Groups the "Combine" action becomes active (simply press the check next to each Group you wish to combine). Now, if you press "Combine", a new dialog box will open. This dialog box will list the names of the two Groups along with their respective People counts. At this point, you can specify the new Group Name. After completing these steps, confirm the combination by pressing “Combine." The new combined Group will now appear in the list.

Combining Main Groups

When you combine multiple Main Groups, every Field between the combined Groups  will be preserved in the new Group. Previously, only Fields that existed in all Groups would be preserved, but that restriction is now removed in v1.3 of Eventene. Please note that when two identical Fields are merged, they system will take the first value for the new Group.

Combining Subgroups - Same Main Group

If you combine multiple Subgroups that are all subsets of the same Main Group, the new subset will be created with all of the Rule Sets from the original Subgroups.

Combining Subgroups - Different Main Group

Currently, combining Subgroups from different Main Groups is not supported. If you need to combine Subgroups from different Main Groups, you can first combine the respective Main Groups and then use Rules to create a subset from the resulting new Main Group.

Combining Main Groups and Subgroups

If you combine a mix of Main Groups and Subgroups, Eventene will create a new Main Group from the original Main Groups. However, it will not combine the Subgroups in the new Main Group.
